Cherry's journey began with two friends with a shared desire to fulfill the human want to make a meaningful impact. Recognizing a vital need to bridge the gap between people and nonprofit, especially smaller local ones, the Cherry team set out to create a platform that empowers everyone to give the cherry on top. Witnessing how major corporations harnessed everyday purchases for their own tax benefits, the team felt compelled to shift the balance of power back to the people.

Cherry is not just an app; it's a collective effort to democratize generosity and ensure that individuals have the influence to make a difference in causes that matter most to them.

Two Friends, Cole & Austin

These two small town Minnesota friends, Cole and Austin, have a shared passion for giving back and athletics, with extensive backgrounds in non-profit and volunteer work.

Austin began his career in the Twin Cities as a Mental Performance Coach for youth and professional athletes before pivoting to the payment solutions tech industry for multiple years. He currently works with the Seattle Mariners as a Mental Performance Coach.

After his baseball career, Cole transitioned to a coaching role and eventually moved into the tech space, where he worked with companies and gig economy platforms to credential employees.

Knowing they wanted to take on bigger roles in the non profit space,
